Promotional Terms
Last updated 4 September 2026
Effective date: 4 September 2026
Last updated: 4 September 2026
This document contains:
- Part A — General Promotional Terms
- Part B — PepperClub Launch Offer: £5 Off First Two Orders + 3 Months Free Delivery
- Part C — Required Short-Form Advertising Disclosures
- Part D — Checkout & Backend Implementation Rules
The Launch Offer in Part B has a qualification period beginning 10 September 2026 and ending 10 October 2026.
These Promotional Terms should be read together with the PepperClub Customer Terms & Conditions of Sale, Delivery Policy, Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy, Substitution Policy, Food & Allergen Information Notice, and Privacy Notice.
Nothing in these Promotional Terms excludes or limits a customer's statutory consumer rights.
Part A — General Promotional Terms
1. Promoter
The promoter is:
PepperClub Ltd
Company number: 17072549
Registered in England and Wales
Registered office: 48 Radcliffe Drive, Derby, England, DE22 3LA
Customer support: support@pepperclub.co.uk
2. Scope
These General Promotional Terms apply to PepperClub consumer promotions unless a promotion states that separate or additional terms apply.
They may be used for promotions involving:
- fixed-amount discounts;
- percentage discounts;
- promotional codes;
- free delivery;
- account credits;
- referral credits;
- bundle or multi-buy offers; and
- similar consumer promotions.
Prize draws, competitions, lotteries, instant-win promotions and other prize promotions are not covered by these General Promotional Terms and require separate promotion-specific rules.
3. Promotion-specific terms
Each PepperClub promotion may have its own specific terms setting out matters such as:
- start date;
- closing date;
- eligibility;
- geographical restrictions;
- minimum spend;
- qualifying products;
- number of permitted uses;
- excluded products;
- availability limitations;
- how a benefit is obtained;
- expiry of the benefit; and
- whether it can be combined with another offer.
Where promotion-specific terms conflict with these General Promotional Terms, the specific terms will apply to that promotion to the extent of the conflict.
4. Significant conditions must be shown upfront
PepperClub will aim to make significant conditions clear in promotional advertising rather than hiding conditions that are likely to affect a customer's decision in the full legal terms.
Depending on the promotion, significant conditions may include:
- new-customer restrictions;
- age restrictions;
- minimum spend;
- geographical/service-area restrictions;
- promotion start and closing dates;
- qualifying products;
- delivery restrictions;
- availability or capacity limitations; and
- important exclusions.
Full terms may be provided through an accessible webpage or other durable source for additional detail.
5. Eligibility
Unless a promotion states otherwise:
- PepperClub promotions are intended for consumers aged 18 or over;
- customers must have a valid PepperClub account where an account is required;
- the order must be delivered to a current PepperClub serviceable address;
- the promotion is for private household use rather than commercial resale; and
- the customer must comply with the Customer Terms & Conditions.
A promotion may be restricted to:
- new customers;
- existing customers;
- selected customers;
- specified delivery areas; or
- another clearly stated group.
6. New-customer promotions
Where a promotion is described as being for a new customer, a new customer will normally mean a person who has not previously completed a PepperClub order.
Creating a new account does not make an existing PepperClub customer a new customer.
A pre-launch account that has never completed an order may still qualify for a new-customer promotion where the relevant promotion-specific terms allow it.
7. Promotion abuse
Customers must not deliberately manipulate PepperClub accounts, orders or payment methods to obtain a promotion more times than permitted.
PepperClub may reasonably investigate suspected abuse using information such as:
- customer account;
- mobile number;
- email address;
- delivery address;
- payment-method identifiers;
- device/security information; and
- previous promotional use.
PepperClub will not automatically treat different genuine adults as one person merely because they share a household or delivery address.
Where deliberate fraud or abuse is established, PepperClub may:
- refuse an invalid promotional claim;
- remove an improperly obtained benefit;
- restrict further promotional use;
- suspend an account where justified; or
- take another proportionate and lawful action.
A genuine customer claim, refund request or complaint will not be treated as promotional abuse merely because it costs PepperClub money.
8. Household and resale use
Promotions are intended for ordinary consumer/household purchasing.
PepperClub may refuse promotional benefits where it reasonably establishes that purchases are primarily being made for:
- commercial resale;
- stock-hoarding for resale;
- organised promotional exploitation; or
- another non-consumer purpose inconsistent with the promotion.
This will be applied reasonably.
9. Minimum-spend promotions
Where a promotion has a minimum product spend:
- the minimum must be met before the promotional discount is applied unless stated otherwise;
- delivery fees do not count unless expressly stated;
- bag/packaging charges do not count unless expressly stated;
- excluded products do not count where the promotion clearly identifies them as excluded; and
- refunds or cancellations may affect the final promotional calculation in accordance with the specific terms.
Where PepperClub stock shortages after acceptance reduce an otherwise qualifying basket below the minimum, the customer will not normally lose a benefit already earned solely because PepperClub could not supply the products.
10. Product exclusions
A promotion may exclude particular products or product categories where the exclusion is made clear as required.
Unless a promotion expressly includes them, future products such as:
- alcohol;
- gift cards;
- stored-value products;
- cash-equivalent products; or
- other regulated or restricted products
may be excluded from a promotion.
11. Combining promotions
Unless PepperClub expressly says otherwise, promotional codes and promotional discounts cannot be stacked or combined with another promotional code or discount.
A promotion may, however, expressly contain more than one benefit.
For example, the PepperClub Launch Offer in Part B contains both:
- £5 off each of the customer's first two qualifying orders; and
- three months of free eligible delivery.
Those two benefits are intended to operate together.
12. Promotional value
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
- promotional benefits are non-transferable;
- promotional benefits have no cash value;
- promotional benefits cannot be exchanged for cash;
- account-specific benefits cannot be sold or gifted to another person; and
- unused benefits cannot be withdrawn as cash.
This does not affect a customer's right to receive a cash/card refund where the law requires PepperClub to refund money actually paid.
13. Cancellation and refunds
Where an order using a promotion is cancelled or refunded, PepperClub may recalculate the promotional benefit fairly in accordance with:
- the specific Promotional Terms;
- the Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy; and
- applicable consumer law.
A refund for one product will normally reflect the actual discounted amount attributable to that product rather than an undiscounted shelf price.
PepperClub will not use a promotional recalculation to remove statutory refund rights.
14. PepperClub cancellation
Where PepperClub cancels an entire order before fulfilment because PepperClub cannot supply it, any promotion-specific use that should fairly be restored will be restored.
PepperClub will not normally consume a limited-use customer benefit solely because PepperClub itself was unable to fulfil the qualifying order.
15. Customer-caused failed fulfilment
Where PepperClub has picked and attempted to deliver an order but delivery ultimately fails because of a matter within the customer's reasonable control, a promotion use may still be treated as consumed where this is fair.
Customer support may restore the benefit where the circumstances justify it.
16. Availability
A promotional discount or free-delivery entitlement does not guarantee:
- that every product will be in stock;
- that every delivery slot will be available;
- immediate delivery;
- unlimited delivery capacity; or
- service to an address outside PepperClub's current delivery area.
PepperClub will make reasonable plans for expected promotional demand and will communicate material availability limitations where necessary.
17. Technical problems
If a genuine PepperClub technical error prevents an eligible customer from receiving a valid promotional benefit, PepperClub may:
- correct the price;
- restore the promotional entitlement;
- issue the appropriate refund; or
- provide another equivalent resolution.
Customers should contact support@pepperclub.co.uk if a benefit they reasonably believe they qualify for is not applied.
18. Changes to promotional terms
PepperClub will not use a broad right to change a promotion arbitrarily after customers have acted in reliance on its published terms.
Material promotion rules and advertised closing dates should not be changed except where doing so is lawful, fair and permitted under applicable promotional-marketing rules.
Where exceptional circumstances require a lawful change, PepperClub will aim to ensure that customers who participated under the original terms are not unfairly disadvantaged.
If PepperClub wishes to continue a commercial offer after an advertised closing date, the preferred approach is to create a new successor promotion for later entrants rather than simply altering the original closing date.
19. Withdrawal from future customers
Where lawful and fair, PepperClub may decide not to run a similar promotion again or may create a different future promotion.
Ending availability to new future entrants does not automatically remove a benefit already acquired by an eligible customer under an existing promotion.
20. Consumer rights
Promotional benefits are additional to the customer's statutory rights.
Nothing in a promotion is intended to:
- exclude rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods;
- reduce legally required refunds;
- remove food-safety rights; or
- otherwise contract out of mandatory consumer law.
Part B — PepperClub Launch Offer
£5 OFF YOUR FIRST TWO ORDERS + 3 MONTHS FREE DELIVERY
21. Promotion period
The qualification period for this Launch Offer is:
Starts: 00:00 on 10 September 2026
Closes: 23:59 on 10 October 2026
Times are UK local time.
The closing date is part of this promotion.
If PepperClub wishes to offer equivalent or similar benefits to new customers after 10 October 2026, PepperClub may publish a separate successor promotion with its own eligibility period and terms.
22. Who can qualify?
The Launch Offer is available to qualifying new PepperClub customers aged 18 or over.
It is designed to cover eligible customers joining during PepperClub's pre-launch and launch period.
For this promotion, a new customer means a customer who has not previously completed a PepperClub order.
This means an eligible person may already have created a PepperClub pre-launch account before ordering and still be treated as a new customer, provided they have not previously completed an order.
23. How qualification occurs
A customer qualifies for the Launch Offer when:
- they meet the new-customer eligibility requirements;
- their delivery address is within PepperClub's service area;
- they place a qualifying first order;
- that first qualifying order meets the applicable minimum spend; and
- PepperClub accepts that first qualifying order during the Promotion Period.
Account creation alone does not start or consume the Launch Offer.
24. One Launch Offer per customer
The Launch Offer is limited to one promotional entitlement per eligible customer.
Customers may not create additional accounts to obtain the Launch Offer repeatedly.
PepperClub may use reasonable anti-abuse checks.
Sharing an address with another genuine adult will not by itself automatically make that adult ineligible, although PepperClub may investigate circumstances that reasonably indicate duplicated-account abuse.
£5 OFF FIRST TWO ORDERS
25. Discount value
A qualifying customer receives:
- £5 off their first qualifying order; and
- £5 off their second qualifying order.
The maximum fixed order-discount value under this part of the promotion is therefore £10 per eligible customer.
This is in addition to the free-delivery benefit described below.
26. £25 minimum spend
Each order receiving a £5 discount must contain at least £25 of qualifying products before the £5 discount is applied.
Example:
Qualifying products: £25.00
Launch discount: −£5.00
Discounted product amount: £20.00
Any applicable non-free charges are then dealt with separately.
27. What does not count towards £25?
Unless PepperClub expressly states otherwise, the following do not count towards the £25 minimum product spend:
- delivery charges;
- carrier-bag charges;
- packaging charges;
- tips, if introduced;
- gift-card/stored-value purchases, if introduced;
- excluded regulated products; and
- other non-product fees.
28. Qualifying products
Normal PepperClub grocery products count towards the minimum spend unless specifically excluded.
The Launch Offer does not currently include alcohol because PepperClub does not currently sell alcohol.
If PepperClub introduces alcohol during the life of a future or successor promotion, alcohol should not automatically be treated as qualifying without a specific promotional/legal review.
Gift cards, cash-equivalent products or stored-value products introduced later are excluded unless PepperClub expressly states otherwise.
29. Automatic discount
The Launch Offer is intended to apply automatically to an eligible customer's account/order.
A promotional code should not normally be required.
If a technical problem prevents the discount from being applied correctly, an eligible customer should contact:
30. Combining the £5 discount with free delivery
The £5 order discount and the three-month free-delivery benefit are two parts of the same Launch Offer.
They can therefore be used together where the order otherwise qualifies.
31. Other promotions
The £5 Launch Offer discount cannot normally be combined with another promotional code or separate order discount unless PepperClub expressly states that the offers can be combined.
This does not prevent:
- normal product pricing;
- genuine product markdowns; or
- the Launch Offer's own free-delivery benefit
from applying where otherwise permitted.
32. If the first or second order is cancelled before fulfilment
If a qualifying order is completely cancelled before fulfilment and the customer receives a full refund, that cancelled order will normally not consume one of the customer's two £5 order discounts.
The promotional use should be restored or remain available.
33. PepperClub cancellation
If PepperClub cancels the entire order because of:
- stock/fulfilment failure;
- delivery capacity;
- a PepperClub technical problem;
- a vehicle/service problem; or
- another PepperClub-side issue,
the relevant unused £5 entitlement should be restored.
34. Partial refunds
If an order is successfully fulfilled but one or more products are later refunded, that order will normally still count as one of the customer's first two discounted orders.
The product refund will be based on the amount actually attributable to the product after the promotional discount is allocated fairly.
35. Customer-caused failed delivery
If PepperClub has fulfilled and reasonably attempted delivery but the order ultimately fails for reasons within the customer's reasonable control, the order may still count as a promotional use.
PepperClub customer support may restore the entitlement where the circumstances justify it.
3 MONTHS FREE DELIVERY
36. When free delivery starts
The customer's three-month free-delivery period starts on the date and time that PepperClub accepts the customer's first qualifying order.
It does not start merely because:
- the customer joins a pre-launch list;
- an account is created;
- the app is downloaded; or
- the promotion is advertised.
This ensures that eligible pre-launch customers do not lose part of their free-delivery period before they actually begin ordering.
37. What "3 months" means
"3 months" means three calendar months, not 90 days.
For example:
If the first qualifying order is accepted on 20 September 2026, the customer's promotional free-delivery period runs until 23:59 on 20 December 2026.
Where the corresponding date does not exist in the final calendar month, the period will end on the last day of that month.
PepperClub's backend should calculate the expiry consistently using calendar-month logic rather than a fixed 90-day duration.
38. Number of free deliveries
There is no fixed numerical cap on the number of qualifying standard deliveries a customer may receive during the three-month promotional period.
However:
- the normal £25 minimum product spend applies to each order;
- delivery slots remain subject to availability;
- the service is for genuine household use;
- commercial resale/promotion abuse is prohibited; and
- normal PepperClub service-area rules continue to apply.
The phrase "3 months free delivery" does not mean unlimited delivery at any time or without normal ordering requirements.
39. What delivery charge is waived?
For an eligible order during the free-delivery period, PepperClub will waive the normal eligible scheduled-delivery charge that would otherwise apply.
Because PepperClub's delivery prices may vary according to matters such as:
- area;
- distance;
- delivery time;
- time of booking;
- demand/capacity; and
- other disclosed delivery factors,
the Launch Offer waives the qualifying normal scheduled-delivery charge rather than providing only a fixed-value delivery credit.
The eligible delivery charge should therefore display as £0 for a qualifying promotional order.
40. Standard scheduled delivery only
The Launch Offer covers PepperClub's normal eligible scheduled delivery service.
If PepperClub introduces premium services in future, such as:
- priority delivery;
- express delivery;
- specially guaranteed narrow-time delivery;
- exceptional extended-distance service; or
- another premium delivery option,
the incremental premium or surcharge is not included unless PepperClub expressly states otherwise.
41. Minimum basket during free delivery
The normal £25 minimum qualifying product spend applies to each promotional free-delivery order.
Delivery and bag/packaging charges do not count towards the minimum unless PepperClub expressly says otherwise.
42. Stock shortages after ordering
If an order satisfied the £25 minimum when placed but PepperClub stock shortages, rejected substitutions or PepperClub-issued refunds later reduce the product value below £25, the customer will not retrospectively lose free delivery solely for that reason.
43. Service area
Free delivery applies only to addresses that PepperClub currently serves.
The promotion does not require PepperClub to provide delivery outside its serviceable area.
If an eligible customer changes address during the three-month period:
- the benefit remains attached to their eligible PepperClub account;
- they may use it at another PepperClub-serviced address; but
- PepperClub is not obliged to serve an address outside the current service area.
44. Delivery slots
Free delivery does not reserve or guarantee a particular delivery slot.
Customers must select from the delivery slots actually available to them.
Availability may depend on:
- location;
- operating hours;
- route capacity;
- demand;
- holidays;
- vehicle capacity; and
- other operational factors.
45. Bag and packaging charges
"Free delivery" means the eligible delivery charge is waived.
It does not automatically waive a separately disclosed:
- carrier-bag charge;
- packaging charge; or
- other charge that is not the normal eligible delivery charge.
Any mandatory bag/packaging charge will be disclosed before the customer places the order.
46. Redelivery
The Launch Offer includes PepperClub's first reasonable redelivery attempt where redelivery is available under the Delivery Policy.
If repeated failed deliveries are caused by matters within the customer's reasonable control, PepperClub may charge a reasonable further redelivery fee where:
- the fee is communicated in advance;
- the customer agrees before the chargeable redelivery; and
- charging it is fair and lawful.
The free-delivery benefit does not give a customer unlimited free repeated delivery attempts after customer-caused failures.
47. Holiday or non-use
The three-calendar-month period runs continuously.
It does not pause because the customer:
- goes on holiday;
- does not order for a period;
- temporarily leaves the delivery area; or
- otherwise chooses not to use the service.
Unused promotional time has no cash value.
48. PepperClub service interruption
PepperClub does not guarantee that every delivery slot will be available throughout the promotional period.
If a substantial PepperClub-wide service interruption materially prevents an eligible customer from using a significant part of their free-delivery entitlement, PepperClub may provide an appropriate extension or goodwill remedy where fair.
This does not create an automatic right to an extension for ordinary periods when a customer's preferred slot happens to be full.
49. Account deletion
If a customer voluntarily deletes their PepperClub account, unused Launch Offer benefits will normally be lost and cannot be transferred to a newly created account.
This is subject to any statutory rights and any situation where account restoration is appropriate.
If PepperClub closes an account in error and subsequently restores it after review, PepperClub may reinstate the promotional entitlement as appropriate.
50. No transfer or cash alternative
The Launch Offer:
- is personal to the eligible customer;
- cannot be sold;
- cannot be transferred or gifted;
- cannot be exchanged for cash; and
- cannot be moved to another account simply to avoid eligibility controls.
Part C — Required Short-Form Advertising Disclosures
51. Main headline
The approved core marketing headline is:
£5 OFF YOUR FIRST TWO ORDERS + 3 MONTHS FREE DELIVERY
This should not be presented without the significant qualifying conditions being sufficiently clear.
52. Standard short-form disclosure
For normal digital advertising, website banners, social posts and marketing material with reasonable space, use wording substantially similar to:
New customers only. First qualifying order must be accepted 10 Sep–10 Oct 2026. £25 min qualifying product spend per order. £5 off each of first 2 qualifying orders. 3 months free standard scheduled delivery starts with first qualifying order. Service area and delivery-slot availability apply. Bag/other excluded charges may apply. 18+. Other T&Cs apply.
Link immediately to the full Launch Offer Terms.
53. Flyer / space-limited version
Where space is genuinely limited, use at least:
New customers. Qualify 10 Sep–10 Oct 2026. £25 min spend/order. 3 months starts with first qualifying order. Standard delivery, service area & slots apply. 18+. Full T&Cs: [PROMOTIONAL TERMS URL / QR CODE]
Where design space permits, also state:
£5 off each of first 2 qualifying orders. Bag/other excluded charges may apply.
The phrase "T&Cs apply" alone is not a substitute for significant conditions.
54. Onam campaign usage
For the Derby Onam promotional campaign, significant conditions should remain visible even where the flyer uses a prominent creative headline or QR code.
Do not put all meaningful restrictions exclusively behind the QR code.
At minimum, the customer should be able to understand from the flyer that:
- the offer is for new customers;
- a £25 minimum spend applies;
- the qualification period ends 10 October 2026;
- free delivery runs for three months starting with the first qualifying order;
- service area/slot availability applies; and
- full terms can be reached through the QR/link.
55. Avoid misleading wording
Do not describe the Launch Offer using wording such as:
- "free unlimited delivery anytime";
- "free delivery everywhere";
- "no charges for 3 months";
- "£10 cash";
- "everyone gets £10";
- "no minimum spend"; or
- another statement inconsistent with the actual conditions.
"3 months free delivery" is acceptable only when the relevant significant restrictions are presented sufficiently clearly.
56. Successor promotion after 10 October
Do not simply edit old advertisements to pretend the original Launch Offer always had a later closing date.
If PepperClub decides commercially to continue similar benefits for customers joining after 10 October 2026, create a new promotion, for example:
PepperClub New Customer Offer — Promotion 2
with:
- a new start date;
- a new closing date or properly structured open-ended mechanism;
- its own versioned terms; and
- advertising that accurately describes the new qualification period.
Customers who already qualified under the original Launch Offer retain the benefits they acquired under these terms.
Part D — Checkout & Backend Implementation Rules
57. Promotion identity
Create a versioned promotion identifier, for example:
PC_LAUNCH_2026_V1
Do not implement the promotion only as ad-hoc frontend discount logic.
The backend should be the authoritative source for eligibility and benefit usage.
58. Recommended promotion record
The promotion configuration should record at least:
- promotion ID/version;
- promotion name;
- start timestamp;
- qualification close timestamp;
- applicable timezone;
- eligible customer type;
- minimum qualifying product spend;
- fixed order discount;
- maximum discount uses;
- free-delivery duration type;
- free-delivery duration value;
- eligible delivery service types;
- excluded products/categories;
- combinability rules;
- status;
- published terms version.
For this campaign:
- Start:
2026-09-10 00:00 Europe/London - Close:
2026-10-10 23:59:59 Europe/London - Minimum qualifying product spend:
GBP 25.00 - Order discount:
GBP 5.00 - Maximum £5 uses:
2 - Free-delivery duration:
3 calendar months - Standard scheduled delivery: eligible
- Premium delivery: excluded unless explicitly configured
- Other promo-code stacking: disabled by default
59. New-customer determination
Do not determine "new customer" solely from account creation date.
The core test should be whether the customer has previously completed a PepperClub order.
This allows genuine pre-launch accounts to qualify.
Backend eligibility checks may also include anti-abuse signals, but they should not automatically treat every shared household as one customer.
60. Qualification event
The Launch Offer should become QUALIFIED when the customer's first qualifying order:
- satisfies the £25 product minimum;
- is eligible under the campaign rules;
- has payment successfully processed/authorised as required;
- is accepted by PepperClub; and
- is accepted within the Promotion Period.
Suggested fields:
qualified_atqualifying_order_idpromotion_versioneligibility_status
61. First £5 discount
The first qualifying order receives the first £5 discount.
When PepperClub accepts the order:
- record promotional use
1 of 2; - record the £5 discount on the order ledger;
- store the original and discounted totals;
- start the free-delivery entitlement.
Do not rely solely on UI state.
62. Second £5 discount
The next qualifying order by that customer should automatically receive the remaining £5 discount, provided:
- the order meets the £25 qualifying product spend;
- the account remains eligible;
- the benefit has not already been used;
- no disqualifying fraud/abuse finding applies; and
- another conflicting promotion has not been selected.
Record promotional use 2 of 2 only after the qualifying order reaches the appropriate accepted state.
63. Free-delivery entitlement
On the first qualifying order, store:
free_delivery_started_atfree_delivery_expires_atfree_delivery_promotion_id
Calculate expiry using calendar-month arithmetic, not 90 days.
Example:
20 Sep 2026 + 3 calendar months → entitlement through 20 Dec 2026.
The UI should make the customer's free-delivery end date visible where practical.
64. End-of-month calendar logic
Use a standard calendar-month date library with defined end-of-month behaviour.
Where the start date has no equivalent day in the final month, use the last valid day of that month.
Do not implement the entitlement using a hard-coded 90 * 24 hours.
65. Delivery fee calculation
For a qualifying promotional delivery:
- calculate the normal delivery fee using the ordinary delivery-pricing engine;
- store that normal fee for audit/reporting;
- apply a promotional delivery discount equal to the eligible normal delivery fee;
- display the customer delivery charge as £0.00.
This is preferable to bypassing delivery pricing entirely because it preserves:
- promotion cost reporting;
- customer savings reporting;
- auditability; and
- future pricing analysis.
66. Premium delivery services
If a premium delivery option is later introduced:
- calculate the standard eligible delivery component;
- waive only the component included by the promotion;
- display any premium surcharge clearly before payment;
- do not label the final service simply "free" if an unavoidable premium fee remains.
67. £25 threshold calculation
The £25 qualifying product threshold should be calculated:
- after ordinary product prices/eligible markdowns are applied;
- before the Launch Offer £5 discount;
- excluding delivery;
- excluding bag/packaging fees;
- excluding gift-card/cash-equivalent items;
- excluding products specifically excluded by campaign configuration.
The exact calculation method should be deterministic and auditable.
68. Bag charges
The checkout should show bag/packaging charges separately where applicable.
Do not silently absorb them into "delivery" and then reintroduce them after advertising free delivery.
The order summary should make clear:
- Products
- Product discount
- Delivery
- Free-delivery promotional saving
- Bag/packaging charge
- Final total
as applicable.
69. Promotion stacking
Backend promotion resolution should default to:
PC_LAUNCH_2026_V1 not stackable with separate promo-code/order-discount promotions
but:
£5 Launch Discount + Launch Free Delivery stackable with each other
because they are components of the same promotion.
The UI should tell the customer where another code cannot be combined.
70. Full cancellation before fulfilment
If a discounted order is fully cancelled before fulfilment:
- reverse/refund the payment as applicable;
- restore the £5 use;
- if it was the first qualifying order and the promotion qualification itself must be unwound, recalculate the free-delivery start state appropriately.
Where the first order never proceeds to genuine fulfilment, the system should avoid leaving the customer with an artificially shortened three-month period.
A subsequent qualifying order can become the replacement qualifying first order where the campaign rules permit.
71. PepperClub cancellation after acceptance
Where PepperClub cancels an entire order because it cannot fulfil it:
- restore the £5 use;
- refund the relevant amounts;
- preserve or correctly restart the free-delivery entitlement so PepperClub's failure does not unfairly consume promotional value.
Customer support/admin tooling should have an auditable restore promotion entitlement action.
72. Partial refunds
A partial item refund should not normally restore an entire £5 order-discount use.
Allocate the fixed promotional discount across qualifying product lines using a consistent documented method.
Refund the actual attributable amount paid for the affected product.
Do not refund more than the customer paid merely because the product had a higher pre-discount shelf price.
73. Failed customer-caused delivery
Where fulfilment was completed and PepperClub made reasonable delivery/redelivery attempts but delivery failed for customer-caused reasons:
- the £5 use may remain consumed;
- free-delivery time continues to run;
- a further agreed customer-caused redelivery fee may apply.
Provide an admin override for exceptional/fairness cases.
74. Stock shortage after qualification
If order value was at least £25 when placed but PepperClub stock shortages later reduce it below £25:
- keep the order eligible;
- keep the £5 discount where applicable;
- keep free delivery;
- do not apply a retrospective minimum-spend penalty.
This rule should distinguish PepperClub stock shortages from customer-requested removal before fulfilment where the order no longer qualifies.
75. Anti-abuse controls
Promotion anti-abuse checks may consider:
- verified phone;
- customer ID;
- order history;
- payment fingerprint/token identifiers supplied by Stripe;
- delivery address;
- device/security information;
- promotion history.
Do not store full payment-card numbers.
Do not use a simplistic rule such as:
same address = automatically ineligible
because legitimate adults may share one household.
Suspicious cases should support review.
76. Service-area validation
Check serviceability before presenting a delivery slot and again as required during checkout.
Free delivery does not override serviceability.
An account with a valid promotion may remain eligible when using another address, but delivery is available only if that address is currently served.
77. Slot availability
Do not create hidden reserved capacity solely because a customer has free delivery unless PepperClub deliberately introduces that operational feature.
Promotional customers choose from normal eligible available slots.
The UI should not imply that free-delivery customers are guaranteed a slot.
78. Promotion state history
Maintain an auditable history of material promotion events such as:
- eligible;
- qualified;
- first discount used;
- discount restored;
- second discount used;
- free delivery started;
- free delivery expired;
- benefit suspended for investigation;
- benefit reinstated;
- account deleted.
Avoid destructive overwrites that make disputes impossible to reconstruct.
79. Customer display
Where practical, the customer's account should show:
- whether the Launch Offer is active;
- remaining £5 discount uses;
- free-delivery expiry date;
- key eligibility rules; and
- a link to these Promotional Terms.
Example:
Launch Offer active
£5 discounts remaining: 1
Free standard delivery until: 20 Dec 2026
80. Checkout display
Before the customer places a qualifying order, checkout should clearly show:
- product subtotal;
- £5 Launch Offer discount;
- normal delivery fee;
- Launch free-delivery saving;
- bag/packaging charge;
- final amount payable.
Do not show a promotional saving that the backend has not actually applied.
81. Order confirmation
The Order Confirmation should record applicable promotion information in a durable format, for example:
PepperClub Launch Offer£5 order discountFree scheduled delivery- promotional amounts applied.
For the first qualifying order, the confirmation or customer account should also make the three-month free-delivery expiry date available.
82. Promotion extension rule for engineering/marketing
Do not edit:
promotion_end = 2026-10-10
merely because marketing decides the offer is performing well.
Instead, create a new version/promotion for new entrants after the original closing date, for example:
PC_NEW_CUSTOMER_2026_V2
Existing PC_LAUNCH_2026_V1 customers keep their acquired benefits.
Any exceptional legal decision to change the original closing date should be separately approved and documented.
